Fantasy Premier League: Week 11 Player Picks

What a time it is to be an Arsenal (@Arsenal) supporter.

The Gunners defeated Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) 0-1, only the second time a visitor has held a clean sheet against the German side at Signal Iduna Park (@SIGNALIDUNAPARK).

Arsenal now holds the distinction of being the first English side to beat Dortmund in their own stadium.

As it stands, AFC sit at the top of the league table, as well as the top of their UEFA (@UEFAcom) group, ahead by a goal difference of two.

As for Aaron Ramsey (@aaronramsey)? What can be said that hasn’t been said already?

He is playing like a £100m man and is, without question, the most in-form midfielder in world football.

Despite having had to play further back on the pitch in the absence of Flamini, he still manages to get forward, find space, and score goals.

And respect due to Giroud (@_OlivierGiroud_) for his little flicker and grabbing the assist.

According to the pundits, Arsenal were not supposed to win this match, nor the game previous against Liverpool (@LFC).

At this point, the anti-Gunners media are saying we will have proven ourselves only after we defeat an 8th place United (@ManUtd) side.

It appears there is still very little belief outside of the squad itself.

But you clowns keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I blame the likes of flip-flopping “super-fan”, Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan), aka THE SUPPORTER NO ONE WANTS, as well as the two Jamies of Sky Sports, Carragher and Redknapp, aka THE BUTT-HURT MERSEYSIDE TWINS.

Many seem to have bought into their deafening criticism.

Despite a recent lack of silverware, as well as shouldering massive debt due to the transition from Highbury to the Emirates, how many other clubs have managed such a high level of consistency?

Fuck these talking heads.

Onto the picks!

A few notables for this week.

First, despite my massive plunge last week in the official game, I opted not to start fresh and use my wildcard.

I swapped out the injured Michu (@Michuoviedo) for Oscar with my only free transfer and I think the squad looks pretty strong overall.

It was a tough decision to keep my Spurs (@SpursOfficial) players out of the XI and I considered using a 4-3-3 formation in order to retain Dawson.

However, the Everton (@Everton) fixture versus Crystal Palace (@Official_CPFC) was too juicy to leave Barkley (@RBarkley20) on the bench.

In the Yahoo! format, I finally moved on from Giroud in order to fit Agüero (@aguerosergiokun) into my squad.

It’s a move I had considered prior to last weekend and I paid the price for not following through.

I predict there will be several goals each way in the Arsenal / Manchester United match tomorrow and would not be surprised to see Giroud put at least one away.

But with Kun in the running for top-PL-striker-of-the-moment, I can’t risk missing out on big points against with City (@MCFC) facing off against lowly Sunderland (@SAFCofficial). He is wearing the armband for me this week.

Not having any Citizens in my official squad is what is really likely to hurt me…

Nevertheless, I’m hoping for a big game from captain Lukaku (@RomeluLukaku9)!

A bit disorienting with there not being an early match today.

Still over an hour away until kick-off!

I would love to see the squads you are fielding this week! Share in the comment box below!
